Hi everyone,
I am Ashish Banga, graduated from NSIT, Delhi in 2012. I will guide you through the placement procedure of all the electronics core companies which came to NSIT for recruitment.
Ok. first one to come was Texas Instruments.
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS
It offered many profiles-
1) Analog Circuits( Analog Design Engineer)
2) Analog Applications(AAA)
3) Digital Design Engineer (DDE)
4) Digital Applications(DAA)
5) Technical Sales Associate (TSA)
cutoff was 70%
A common test paper was given to each of the student . A student had to attempt 2 sections - one compulsory aptitude + one paper related to your desired profile.
Aptitude was very easy, you need not prepare for that.
Please make up your mind which profile you want to opt and prepare that well. I saw many students who prepared for digital profile ,switched to analog profile after seeing simple questions and also reduced competition in analog domain as a lot of students were aiming for digital profile, they cleared the written test but ended nowhere. All the profile papers were very easy.
Also take care about the analog applications and analog circuits, they both are different.
Analog Applications(AAA) - read opamp from sergio franco- special emphasis on first 3-4 chapters.
diode applications,transformers(basic), zener diode,RC-LR circuits.
Analog Circuits (ADE) - Only RC circuits solving can fetch you a analog job in any company. Read diode, BJT, MOS ,Please dont read all that stuff - feedback amplifiers, differential amplifiers, power amplifiers. You will not good RC circuits problems in any book but you can follow a book - foundations of analog and digital electronics - anant aggarwal and electrical circuit analysis -hayt and kemmerly. Also read bode plot concepts , using semi-log paper, etc.
